Sauvignon Blanc
06/20/2024
What is better than Wine Country in the late spring with warm sunny weather and delicious Sauvignon Blancs!  I just got back from Napa and Sonoma last week. The weather was perfect and the wines delightful. Of course, we had the opportunity to taste many Cabernets and Chardonnays that were fantastic, but it was really the Sauvignon Blancs on this trip that really stood out. For many consumers, when they think about Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand is what comes to mind.  However, you can find this varietal in most regions in the World.

Depending on the region, the varietal can be more herbaceous or more tropical with notes of grapefruit. Sauvignon Blanc is zingy, fresh, crisp and easy to drink, it's a perfect warm weather wine and pairs fantastic with lighter foods that are more typical of summer months.  So regardless of what brand, part of the world the wine comes from or what the weather is like, pour yourself a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and enjoy!

Fun Facts about Sauvignon Blanc:
