Come Over October
10/08/2024
Through the simple act of sharing wine, we all share other things that matter— generosity, caring, and a belief that being together is an essential part of human happiness. The goal this month is to remove barriers and make wine an easy, accessible part of our interactions, focusing on sharing wine to celebrate friendship and in-person connection.
“Every wine drinker has had that experience of sharing wine with someone who they didn't know, and by the end of the evening, you are that person's friend,” says MacNeil. This statement reminds me of so many experiences that customers and friends have had at Vino Mas. The friendships that develop over a simple glass of wine, are astounding. I have made many of my friends, through the simple act of drinking wine. The napkins that we have in the store for sale, says it all: When I saw you drinking wine, I knew we would be friends.
This is what Come Over October advocates over all things–a chance to stop, share stories, be together, make friends, re-connect with friends, celebrate an event or occasion— a chance to connect in a world moving fast and furiously. Celebrate by inviting friends to come together with wine. Some ideas include listening parties: matching wine with music, tasting parties and watch parties for sporting events, etc.. Wine plays an important role in shared experiences and has been a communal beverage throughout history.
“For its 11,000 year history, wine has been a communal beverage that brings people together. It’s a beverage of friendship – creating new friendships and deepening old.” Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible
Stop in for any bottle of wine in the store this month, mention Come Over October and receive an additional 5% off your bottles for take home consumption.
