O’Lillo means “hello, my beautiful friend,” and this special Italian offering from Tuscany engenders that reaction upon experiencing it.
Tasting Notes
O’Lillo is rich in color and has a nose experience similar to a fantastic Bordeaux, but is soft yet complex on the palate, presenting cherries, blueberries without the sugar, licorice, vanilla, chocolate and a touch of tobacco. Intensely fruit-forward and accessible with soft tannins.
Production Notes
The wine was put into conical oak tanks for 22 days for maceration and malolactic fermentation, followed by six months in stainless steel tanks to complete alcoholic fermentation and then an additional three months in bottles.
Pairings
This intricate wine is well-paired with grilled meat, lasagna, rich pastas and risotto.
