Cilantro-Lime Steaks with Can Feixes Negre Seleccio
2 cups fresh cilantro
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
8 cloves garlic
4 green onions, chopped
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
4 New York strip steaks or rib eye steaks cut in half
Place the cilantro, lime juice, oil, garlic, green onions, and salt in a food processor. Process until smooth.
Place steak into a large zip lock bag and pour half of the marinade into the bag. Turn meat so the marinade completely covers it. Place into the refrigerator and let marinate for 2-3 hours. Reserve a little back of the marinade to use as a dipping sauce if desired.
Preheat the grill to medium high heat. Brush grill grate with oil.
Grill steaks, covered, 5-6 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Transfer to a cutting board and let the meat rest for 5 minutes before serving with reserved sauce.
